Tenth Edition

2011 - 2015

Hit Counter

Basically the new Guidebook will have the same format as earlier editions.  The majority of the information provided in the current edition of the Guidebook is good and provides Rex Breeders with a useful resource.  I believe that all of the variety articles should be review by the authors and the membership and revised as needed.  Additionally, I would like to add several new articles and update the pictures of the varieties.

Schedule – Goal

  • Publish and Distribute the 10th Edition at the 2010 ARBA Convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota

  • Have 10th Edition draft ready for review at the 2010 National Rex Show in Evanston, Wyoming

To meet this goal I am asking all Rex Rabbit Club members to:

  • Submit business cards  - Cards due no later than February 1, 2010

  • Solicit commercial advertisements - Copy due no later than February 1, 2010

  • Select a variety and submit a draft of an article for your favorite variety.

  • Write an article of general interest.

    • For example:

      • Raising rex in hot climate or cold climates

      • Conditioning Rex for shows

      • Rex fur

      • Rabbitry management tips – short ideas that improve the quality of your rabbitry or rabbits.  These hints will be incorporated into a revised ‘Helpful Hints’ article written by Sylvia Glafkides in the last edition of the Guidebook.

      • Rex genetics and breeding guide.

  • Submit pictures for variety centerfold.

  • Submit general interest pictures.

  • I am open for any other suggestions on the content of the Guidebook.
